God is the creator and ruler of the universe. He eternally exists in three persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is God’s son. Jesus was born of the virgin Mary, and lived a sinless human life. He died on a cross to pay for our sins. He arose three days later to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He is in Heaven now and will return to earth someday to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
The Holy Spirit reminds us of our need for Jesus Christ. He gives us strength every day, helps us to understand the Biblical truths, and offers us guidance in doing what is right.
The Bible is God’s Word. Human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit, wrote it. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living.
Salvation is God’s free gift to us, but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. When we accept Jesus into our life, we know that we will spend eternity with Him when we die.
