The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.
Deuteronomy 29:29
As a child of God, we have truths revealed to us just as He revealed truths to Moses and the Hebrew children. God never removes a revelation from us, but His expectation is that we apply this revelation to our daily walk. Repeatedly, He tells us that obedience and choosing to be dedicated to Him with our whole being result in a joy and peace that no man can take away.
The psalmist says that we must wait patiently on the Lord. God will hear our cries and lift us from the miry pit and set us firmly on solid ground. The key is that we have to cry out and then wait for His reply. This requires faith that we serve a God who will be there and who will provide for us in His perfect timing.
As Jesus walked this earth and performed miracles, He always acknowledged the faith shown by those He healed. The centurion exhibited a faith so deep that Christ said, “I have never seen such faith.” This man recognized Jesus’ authority and knew that all that was required was for Jesus to say “Be healed” and it would happen. Others recognized that God had visited His people and followed His teaching. Do you have the faith of the centurion?
Where do I stand today? Paralyzed by fear? Unsure of the road to take and the action needed? Focused or unfocused? Believing or unbelieving? Trusting in the Lord and waiting on His timing?
Prayer Lord, today help me to be keenly aware of Your presence in every facet of my life. Turn my unbelief to belief, my fear to courage, and my focus from self to You.
