Dr. Steven Rumley is a native of Burlington, NC his father was a World War 2 veteran and instilled in him a strong sense of Faith and patriotism. He followed his oldest brother into the Air Force where he proudly served four years before beginning his life as a minister. He received his Doctorate in Ministry from Drew University and in 2003 he founded Potters Hand Bible Church in Apex, NC.  He and his wife, Diane Rumley, Co-founded Encourage Her Ministries, home of Mission Heart Hug, where they seek to give back to military spouses.  One of their favorite verses can be found in Col 3:23-24 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men,….It is the Lord Christ you are serving”

Lisa Grimes
Lisa has been married to Ed for almost three decades, is the mother of two boys, and is an experienced business executive.  She enjoys decorating homes and encouraging other women in their faith and careers.  Lisa’s favorite Bible verse is Phil. 4:6 (NLT), “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.  Tell God what you need and thank Him for all He has done”.

Jennifer Brandenburg
Jennifer comes to us with a background in engineering and management and a passion for God’s word.  Her zeal for studying the Bible has led to a new direction in her life of writing and encouraging others in the Lord.  When she’s not working or writing, she loves spending time with friends and family at their farm in Oxford, North Carolina.  Currently, Jennifer’s favorite Bible verse is John 10:4, “When he has brought out all His own, He goes ahead of them”, as she depends daily on God to go ahead of her in this ministry.

Pat and Jim Lancaster
Pat is married to Jim, a retired Air Force Colonel. She is a former teacher and he most recently worked for American Airlines as an international agent. Her favorite pastime is being with her “honey” of almost 48 years and next being with her grandchildren. Pat’s favorite Bible verse is 1 Corinthians 13:13, “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love”.

Norma Barrow
Norma has a background in finance and administration, having retired after 38 years of service at Duke University Medical Center.  She loves to read and spend time with her children and grandchildren.  Norma’s favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 3:20 (NLT), “Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think”.

Madeline Borges Schneider
Madeline enjoys painting, reading, gardening and traveling around the country with her beloved husband Matt on their motorcycle.  She loves being a grandmother of three and entertaining with friends and family.  Madeline’s favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 1:11 (Message), “It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for.  Long before we first heard of Christ,…He had His eyes on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose He is working out in everything and everyone”.

Donna Anderson
Donna is currently an accountant and has a degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and an Accounting degree from North Carolina Wesleyan College.  She enjoys working with numbers and budgets.  She loves to help others and enjoys reading in her spare time.  Donna’s favorite Bible verse is John 10:10, “I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly”.

Shelli Mayfield
Shelli Mayfield is a Communications major at NC State University with a concentration in Public Relations and Social Media. She attended college in Georgia before transferring to NC State and studied abroad at Oxford University. She is a member of PRSSA, PRSA, STAT, Phi Theta Kappa and NAPW. This summer, her free time will be spent volunteering as the PR Manager for the Run Geordie Run campaign out of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, England. She enjoys photography, watching sports, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. She accepted Christ into her heart at the age of 10 and the next year God called her father to attend seminary and enter the ministry. She is the mother of four kids and currently attends Crossroad Fellowship in Raleigh, NC.
